The training took place on Tuesday 20th December and it dealt with cooperative methodology. It was about 4 hours long and engaged the teaching staff.
It took a form of a short lecture as well as workshops. The training enabled us to revise our knowledge in ralation to the use of cooperative teachniques. We had an opportunity to experience how it works during jigsaw activities and group work, evaluate both its advantages and disadvantages and moments when some activities can be in risk, Besides, we were provided with some crucial tips when using these teaching methods.
Our lecturer advised us to take small steps and be cooperative: discuss, share opinions, give advice how to deal with individual classes and students.

We focused on cooperation goals (working in teams, pairs), preparation, agreements, and different opportunities of cooperation. We covered the subject of verbalizing the criteria for cooperative work. We also dealed with self-analysis and reflective experiences, observations, and the evaluation of individual effort. We also got some tips for cooperative techniques and the introduction of some of the statistics.
During thorough discussions we thought about various criteria and did some work in groups, which resulted in quite different views. We got some assurance that the way you express the task is crucial – if it can be understood in many ways, it usually results in different interpretations. We analized group work and assessment and discussed the criteria for success.
