3rd. Trasnational Project Meeting

ceip guernica

San Fernando de Henares
MADRID

We observed, compared and drew conclusions about the implementation and evaluation of the cooperative methodology, in the execution of two cooperative challenges developed during the third intermediate period (May to November 2017) and based on the mathematical and bodily-kinesthetic intelligences.

The challenges were materialized in the construction of a mathematical board game and the creation of games for a gymkhana.
During the partners meeting, the 4th grade students showed us their games and we were able to play with them and have fun in the gymkhana.

Sharing challenges

Cooperative day

The second day of the meeting, we carried out  cooperative activities at school with students of preschool, 3rd, 4th and 6th grade of primary school.
The  5 years old children, together with the 6th grade, carried out a "reading sponsor" activity.
The 3rd graders did language and math activities.
The 4th graders carried out a gymkhana, thus putting into practice their cooperative challenge based on bodily-kinesthetic intelligence.
The 6th graders carried out cooperative activities in collaboration with some parents (we call it "interactive groups").
Through those activities we could see how the implementation of this type of methodology is ongoing and improves the school environment.

Learning

We visited the Ártica school, in the south of Madrid.

It is an educational center that has been implementing the cooperative methodology in its classrooms for more than 10 years thanks to the "Colectivo cinética" (group of experts in this type of methodology), responsible for the training course that the teachers of Guernica school have done during the past school year.

The visit to their classrooms and the talk with their teachers have helped us to realize the benefits of applying cooperative learning, and encourages us to continue learning and applying the techniques learned in training courses.

Cultural walks

In this second visit, we continue discovering wonderful places of the city of Madrid, such as Plaza de España, the Debod Temple, Plaza de Oriente, the Arab wall or the multicultural area of La Latina.

Agreements

During this meeting, some issues have been discussed and agreements reached for the proper functioning of the project during the next months, such as:

  • Lines of work, dates and organizational agreements for the preparation of the next meeting in Estonia.

  • Agreements for the preparation of the educational Dossier.

  • Dates for the last meeting in Slovakia.

  • Training on cooperative methodology in educational centers.

One of the main objectives of our project is to involve the Educational Community.

Some families participated in the cooperative activities of interactive groups during the "Cooperative Day".
We also received the visit of the European Project Advisor of the Spanish National Agency.

Other important moments were those we shared in the school dining room, enjoying breakfasts and meals with the rest of the school staff, other shared meals and of course ... our final dinner !!
