Cooperative Challenges

All the challenges are connected with the story of the Little Prince and elaborated using different artistic resources in a COOPERATIVE way.

Different Multiple Intelligences have been taken into account to elaborate them.

They have been developed throughout the two years of the Project in each of the countries and have been shared and evaluated in the Transnational meetings of Italy and Spain.

The Trees of my environment

​

  • INTELLIGENCES: naturalistic-linguistic.

  • CREATION: 1st. Trasnational Meeting in Spain.

  • DEVELOPING: during first intermeeting period (november 2016-february 2017).

  • POOLING: 2nd. Trasnational Meeting in Italy (27th feb.- 2nd. march).

  • LEVEL: Primary 5-6

  • LITTLE PRINCE MOTIVATION: The Little Prince had Baobabs on his planet / cleanliness and care of the planet and environment / importance of trees for the planet.

STEPS:

  1. Searching (individual work): the students went out to their environment and collected information about trees.

  2. Pooling: working in cooperative teams decided which trees were to be chosen to make their "libreto".

  3. Libretto building:: in a cooperative way they were elaborating the libretto and documenting the process with photographs.

  4. Literary research: they searched and selected texts and poems related to trees.

  5. Creation of a poem cooperatively related to the trees.

  6. Recitation of the poem by the team in a creative way.

Mathematical Board game

  • INTELLIGENCES: mathematical.

  • CREATION: 2nd. Trasnational Meeting in Italy.

  • DEVELOPING: third intermeeting period (may-nov. 2017).

  • POOLING: 3rd. Trasnational Meeting in Spain (13.15 nov. 2017).

  • LEVEL: Primary 4-6

  • LITTLE PRINCE MOTIVATION: Create board and pawns with the Little Prince's motives and characters

STEPS:

  1. ​Making cards: (individual work): the students made 5 cards with questions about geometry, algebra, logical thinking and problems.

  2. Reviewing in the classrom;

    • The cards were reviewed with the teacher help.

    • A worksheet was filled in with; Title, rules, symbols, cards, sketch ..

  3. Job; The game was elaborated: cards, board, dice, pawns and rules.

  4. Explanation: Each team explained their game to the other teams

  5. Games session: Everyone played their game.

  6. Feedback from the participants.

Treasure hunt. "Little Prince wanted"

  • INTELLIGENCES: bodily-kinesthetic.

  • CREATION: 2nd. Trasnational Meeting in Italy.

  • DEVELOPING: third intermeeting period (may-nov. 2017).

  • POOLING: 3rd. Trasnational Meeting in Spain (13.15 nov. 2017).

  • LEVEL: Primary 4-6

  • LITTLE PRINCE MOTIVATION:  planets (stations) and puzzle.

STEPS:

  1. ​Creating games based on 6 different skills: Balance, speed, constructions, coordination, reflexes and mental exercise.

  2. Preparing the Little Prince puzzle, the bracelets for each team. and the planets (stations)​

  3. Explanation: each team explains their games to the other teams.

  4. Playing and dancing a happy dance when the final puzzle is built.

All challenges have been evaluated and have drawn conclusions that we use for our teaching practice in the use of the Cooperative Methodology
